South America: OS Nitriles recently launched a new biobased Acrylonitrile product line called Invireo, which has a 90% lower Carbon footprint compared to conventionally produced Acrylonitrile. The launch aims to reduce reliance on fossil fuel materials and promote sustainability.

OS Nitriles recently earned certification from both the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC Plus) and Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB). This certification enables the integration of bio, bio-circular, and circular feedstock into INEOS Nitriles' supply chain using a mass balance approach. The mass balance approach is a crucial tool used across various industries to reduce dependence on fossil fuel materials and achieve lower Carbon footprint. By mixing renewable and recycled materials with traditional feedstock, products with reduced Carbon emissions can be created, making it an essential step towards achieving a fully circular economy.

InvireoTM products have earned certification from both ISCC Plus and RSB for their ability to completely substitute fossil-based propylene feedstock in the production process. This 100% substitution results in a significantly lower Carbon footprint compared to conventionally produced products. Acrylonitrile plays a crucial role in various industrial applications such as automotive, aerospace, textile, wind turbines, chemicals for special applications, and sporting goods. These applications are an integral part of our daily lives, and it is necessary to continue meeting society's needs while continuously reducing Carbon emissions.

To Hans Casier, CEO at INEOS Nitriles, their sustainability program has led to the development of a new line of bio-based products called InvireoTM. This product line provides customers with drop-in alternatives that meet their demanding quality and performance standards while also bringing the industry closer to a lower-Carbon economy for Acrylonitrile, all without sacrificing the unique qualities of the product. Alice Dibben, Sustainability Manager for INEOS Nitriles, highlights the company's ongoing commitment to accelerating progress towards a lower Carbon future through InvireoTM. She explains that this innovative solution is a major step forward in INEOS' sustainability journey and demonstrates their dedication to meeting the needs of customers and society as a whole.

The Driving Force Behind Global Acrylonitrile Production With over 90% of the world's Acrylonitrile production relying on INEOS technology, company is a frontrunner in the industry. Extensive expertise and advanced manufacturing capabilities have helped us establish our leadership position. Acrylonitrile has become an integral part of daily lives, as it is used to produce various products such as clothing, carpets, automobile components, telephones, computer casings, sports equipment, and fuel hoses.
