INEOS Acquires TotalEnergies' Petrochemical Assets in Lavera, France

France: The following joint ventures between the two firms will be acquired by INEOS: 3TC (Naphtha storage), Appryl (300 ktpa Polypropylene company), Gexaro (270 ktpa aromatics business), and Naphtachimie (720 ktpa steam cracker The acquisition encompasses various infrastructure assets, including a segment of TotalEnergies' French Ethylene pipeline network.

INEOS Olefins & Polymers South in Lavera, Southern France, will achieve complete integration of Naphthachimie, Gexaro, and Appryl by signing this strategic agreement. The integration will encompass the petrochemical companies, their assets, and infrastructure. Petroineos will still run Gexaro, which is situated on the grounds of the Lavera refinery.

The CEO of INEOS Olefins & Polymers South, Xavi Cros, adds that this represents a significant development for INEOS's French and South European businesses. Through the acquisition, will be able to completely integrate these assets and raise the value of our offer. The southern portions of the Ethylene pipeline network owned by TotalEnergies that connects Lavera to the Lyon region will also be purchased by INEOS as part of the transaction. Both businesses will own an equal share of the central and northern sections, which stretch from the Lyon region to the Lorraine region. The purchase is anticipated to close before the end of the year, subject to regulatory approval and consultation.

Naphtachimie, Gexaro, and Appryl, which are currently 50:50 joint ventures between INEOS and TotalEnergies in Lavera, southern France, will be acquired by INEOS. The largest petrochemical plant and refinery in the South of France is Lavera.

Naphtachimie, one of the largest steam crackers in Europe, operates with an annual capacity of 720,000 tonnes of Ethylene. Gexaro, an aromatics company, has a capacity of 270,000 tonnes per year, while Appryl, a Polypropylene company, has an annual capacity of 300,000 tonnes. The purchase also encompasses various infrastructure assets, including a section of TotalEnergies' French Ethylene pipeline network.

Xavi Cros, the CEO of INEOS Olefins & Polymers South, joyfully announces the acquisition. These companies and pipelines are important strategic assets that will improve INEOS's portfolio.
