IndiaChem 2024: A Catalyst for India's Chemical Industry

Mumbai, India - IndiaChem 2024, organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), concluded with resounding success, reaffirming India's position as a global chemical hub. The event, which featured ChemAnalyst as a corporate sponsor, showcased cutting-edge technologies and solutions, attracting enthusiastic participation from industry leaders, policymakers, and investors.

Addressing the gathering,Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda, Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India, highlighted the pivotal role of the chemical and petrochemical industry in India's economic growth. He underscored the industry's potential to surpass $300 billion by 2028 and reach a staggering $1 trillion by 2040.

Mr. Bhupendra Rajnikant Patel, Chief Minister of Gujarat, emphasized the state's leadership in chemical and petrochemical exports. He expressed confidence in India's ability to become a global leader in the chemical industry through collaboration and innovation.

Mr. Mohan Charan Majhi, Chief Minister of Odisha, highlighted the state's strategic position as a rising hub for the chemical industry. He emphasized Odisha's rich natural resources, strategic connectivity, and investor-friendly policies as key drivers for growth.

Mr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, announced the state government's efforts to promote the petrochemical and chemical sector in Madhya Pradesh.

Ms. Anupriya Patel, Hon'ble Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers, underlined the global relevance of IndiaChem 2024, which attracted participants from 22 countries and over 200 exhibitors.

Ms. Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Government of India, praised IndiaChem 2024 as a key event for fostering collaboration, idea exchange, and partnership formation.

Mr. Deepak Mehta, Chair, FICCI National Chemical Committee and CMD, Deepak Nitrite Ltd., expressed optimism about India's growth trajectory in the chemical industry, attributing it to Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi's leadership and focus on infrastructure development and global investment.

Mr. Prabh Das, Chair, FICCI National Petrochemicals Committee and MD & CEO, HMEL Mittal Energy Ltd., delivered the vote of thanks, emphasizing India's potential to become a global leader in the chemical and petrochemical sector.
