After the complaints of domestic companies, India has started an investigation into the alleged dumping of polystyrene from six companies.

As per the probe, the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) will investigate the alleged presence of polystyrene dumping and impose a dumping duty, if necessary. The anti-dumping duty thus levied would be enough to patch up the injury caused to domestic market.
