Huntsman Unveils Cutting-Edge Innovation Hub in Belgium

Huntsman Corporation has unveiled a new innovation hub in Tienen, Belgium, as part of its strategic push to enhance Research and Development (R&D) capabilities, underscoring its dedication to serving regional clientele. Spanning 11,000 square meters, the state-of-the-art facility features cutting-edge amenities including a world-class analytical laboratory, two expansive machine halls, and fully automated product testing facilities. These resources bolster Huntsman's capacity to shepherd product innovation from initial ideation in the lab to the creation of advanced systems and samples for customer evaluation.
Employing over 100 scientists from its Polyurethanes and Performance Products divisions, the innovation center is poised to facilitate the integration of Huntsman technologies across pivotal sectors such as adhesives, coatings, automotive, elastomers, energy, furniture, bedding, and insulation. The inauguration ceremony, graced by over 100 esteemed guests including customers, suppliers, local dignitaries, and business partners, featured insightful presentations by Huntsman's Chairman and CEO, Peter Huntsman, and Tony Hankins, President of Huntsman's Polyurethanes business. Attendees were treated to a comprehensive tour of the facility, live R&D demonstrations, and ceremonial ribbon-cutting, symbolizing the dawn of a new era in Huntsman's commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions.
