Godrej Industries’ Chemicals Business has acquired Goa based Food Ester and Emulsifier Business from Savannah Surfactants Limited for INR 760 million. This acquisition was formalized through a business transfer agreement filed on November 12. It marks a significant step for Godrej in expanding its reach into the lucrative food and beverage sector.

Savannah Surfactants Limited boasts a substantial production capacity of 5,200 MTPA (metric tons per annum) for finished food esters and emulsifiers. In addition to the Goa facility, the company operates three other manufacturing sites – one in Maharashtra and two in Gujarat. These state-of-the-art facilities, coupled with a dedicated R&D center, enable Savannah to deliver tailored solutions that meet specific performance requirements.

The acquisition aligns seamlessly with Godrej’s overarching strategy of sustainable growth and innovation.
