The Fluconazole API prices have declined in the USA due to stable supply and lower downstream demand until the mid of September. The Fluconazole API suppliers have reduced their quotations to sell the available stocks. The bearish market trend has been observed since the second half of august as consumers were reluctant to make significant purchases due to the rising inflation in the USA market. Also, USA President Joe Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law, which lowered the prescription drug costs for patients on Medicare.
Amidst bearish global imports and exports, rising inflation has decreased API prices because of high inventories across the domestic market. Due to the China-Taiwan crisis, the supply chain has been disrupted, and purchasing power has also dwindled, affecting the offtake from the domestic s well as international markets. In 2022, the International Monetary Fund projected global growth to drop enormously, from 6.1% to 3.2%. According to USA traders, Fluconazole API demand has weakened due to a fall in consumption because of inflation. As per the sources, decreasing freight costs from the APAC region, Fluconazole API prices might continue to fall over in the future, especially in the import sector.
For now, the Fluconazole API market also observed weaker sentiments in the Chinese market. China's economy has faltered dramatically too. The growth turned negative in China in the second half of August; as an impact, the central producing units discontinued affecting the trading activity in Shanghai and other large producing cities
According to ChemAnalyst Database, "The Fluconazole API market may remain truncated at its current levels or see a slight improvement in the following months, primarily due to the hikes in natural gas and electricity prices, which may affect the production units.
