E3 LITHIUM LTD., a prominent lithium developer and pioneer in extraction technology based in Alberta, has achieved a significant milestone by successfully producing Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate (LHM) of exceptionally high purity, reaching 99.78%. This battery-quality LHM underscores the company's commitment to advancing lithium extraction and production technology.

The process of converting raw materials into LHM begins with the further purification and concentration of lithium concentrate derived from the Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) method, a process outlined on August 23, 2023. In prior testing phases, the lithium concentrate generated through DLE was employed to evaluate and refine the processes for purification, concentration, and conversion into lithium carbonate. The subsequent step involves the transformation of lithium carbonate into LHM, followed by the crucial step of crystallization, which results in the final salt form.

Purity is a pivotal parameter for solid LHM, particularly when targeting sales to the battery industry. Generally, a purity level exceeding 99.5% is deemed acceptable for battery-grade lithium.

E3 Lithium is actively collaborating with major equipment vendors to develop the downstream refining processes that will be essential for a commercial-scale facility. The lithium concentrate produced through the DLE field pilot plant operations will continue to serve as a valuable resource for ongoing development and testing of the refining process.

Chris Doornbos, the President and CEO of E3 Lithium, expressed the company's ambitions to become a direct supplier to the battery industry. He emphasized the significance of demonstrating the ability to meet industry-standard specifications using conventional equipment. This achievement marks a noteworthy and promising step forward for the company. The engineering efforts are ongoing to support the completion of the Pre-Feasibility Study for the Clearwater Project, underscoring E3 Lithium's commitment to advancing its projects and contributing to the battery industry.

E3 Lithium's success in producing high-purity LHM represents a significant advancement in the field of lithium extraction and production. The company's dedication to quality and innovation positions it as a key player in the evolving landscape of battery technology and renewable energy solutions. The achievement of this level of purity is not only a testament to their expertise but also a crucial step towards their goal of supplying the burgeoning battery industry with high-quality lithium products.

This milestone underscores E3 Lithium's commitment to developing and perfecting the processes involved in lithium extraction and production. The company's innovative approach to lithium extraction and its dedication to achieving the highest quality standards in the industry are evident in this achievement.

E3 Lithium's ultimate goal of becoming a direct supplier to the battery industry is reinforced by its successful production of high-purity LHM. This achievement demonstrates the company's capability to produce industry-standard products using established equipment and processes.

The ongoing collaboration with major equipment vendors to develop downstream refining processes further underscores E3 Lithium's dedication to advancing its projects and contributing to the battery industry.
