DOMO Chemicals, a prominent player in engineered materials and sustainable solutions, has unveiled notable sustainability milestones for 2023, outlined in its latest Sustainability Report released today.

During a year characterized by significant advancements and strategic partnerships, the company achieved the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification PLUS (ISCC+) for three manufacturing sites and more than 300 PA6 and engineered materials products. This certification expands DOMO's capacity to deliver a broader array of circular and bio-based solutions to customers, underscoring its dedication to innovative customer-centric initiatives.

In a testament to DOMO's ongoing commitment to sustainability, DOMO Chemicals has achieved the prestigious EcoVadis Gold Medal, marking a significant advancement from its Silver Medal status in 2022 with an impressive 13-point increase in score. This accolade from the leading provider of corporate sustainability ratings highlights DOMO's steadfast dedication to sustainable practices and continual enhancement. It also serves as a definitive benchmark for DOMO's customers to assess the company's sustainability achievements.

Strategic alliances have played a pivotal role in DOMO's achievements. Collaborations with MARTOR, OMV, and Mitsubishi Chemical Group have facilitated the efficient utilization of circular and bio-based materials. These partnerships are crucial in advancing DOMO towards its objective of having 20% of its engineered materials volume derived from circular and bio-based grades by 2030, a milestone already reached with 13% achieved in 2023.

DOMO's initiatives to cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have shown substantial progress. The company has achieved a 29% decrease in Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions compared to its 2019 baseline, marking significant progress towards its 2030 goal of a 40% reduction. Moreover, DOMO has ramped up its adoption of renewable electricity by 50% year-over-year, achieving an 18% share across its global operations in 2023.

Yves Bonte, CEO of DOMO Chemicals, emphasized the company's sustainability milestones in 2023, highlighting DOMO Chemicals' steadfast dedication to advancing a brighter future through innovation and partnerships. He expressed pride in their achievements and noted their ongoing commitment to developing polyamides that enhance vehicle efficiency, bolster electronics safety, and promote sustainability in various industries.

DOMO's commitment to 'caring is our formula' remains pivotal in steering the company's achievements. According to Yves Bonte, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and dynamic workplace is their priority. Recent findings from the Pulse Check survey indicate strong employee engagement, complemented by the introduction of the Employee Assistance Program, which offers additional support to employees and their families. With a workforce comprising 18 nationalities, DOMO values inclusivity as a cornerstone of its corporate ethos.

As DOMO expands its global footprint, the new facility in China showcases the group's commitment to environmental stewardship and global expansion. DOMO continues to prioritize innovation, quality job creation, and advancing sustainability objectives.

"In 2023, we've seen the industry unify and strengthen," Bonte commented. "Sustainability isn't a destination but an ongoing journey. This year's report underscores our commitment to responsible progress through our caring formula. Together, we aim to create a more sustainable future, driven by our dedication to a better tomorrow."
