Desert Mountain Energy Corp. has reported major progress in its operational, legal, and strategic efforts across Arizona, New Mexico, and the United Kingdom.
This month, the company marked a major operational milestone with the departure of its first helium trailer from its processing facility in New Mexico.
To expand its international presence, the company recently established a wholly owned subsidiary, Desert Energy UK Ltd. The new entity has secured an onshore exploration license in Devon, United Kingdom, covering approximately 370 square miles (958 square kilometers). The license was granted by a prominent mineral and landowner with a strong emphasis on environmental stewardship. This move allows Desert Mountain Energy to engage with U.K. governmental agencies in preparation for geophysical exploration activities in the region.
Continuing its collaborative strategy, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Hethos Ltd. on April 24 to jointly explore and produce helium and hydrogen in the Southwest U.K., Northeast Arizona, and Southeast New Mexico. The initial geophysical phase is anticipated to require minimal capital investment from Desert Mountain Energy, and discussions with U.K. regulatory authorities are currently underway.
The company is also prioritizing technology and innovation. On April 14, Desert Mountain Energy entered into a non-disclosure agreement with multiple private partners to collaborate on the development of cost-effective helium and hydrogen extraction technologies. Field testing of new equipment is scheduled to begin in Arizona and New Mexico in the fourth quarter of 2025 and continue through the second quarter of 2026. Development costs will largely be funded by grants secured by its partners, reducing financial risk for the company.
In collaboration with Hethos Ltd., Desert Mountain Energy is also in discussions with academic institutions in the United States and Europe to develop a passive detection tool for identifying commercial helium and hydrogen deposits at depth. This research initiative is designed to align with the company’s fiscally responsible approach, requiring minimal direct financial input.
In a legal milestone, the Arizona Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the company on March 4 and granted its request for fees on April 7. This unanimous decision marks a positive step in resolving recent legal matters. Additional information will be shared as appropriate.
Desert Mountain Energy continues to demonstrate its commitment to Arizona by maintaining its wells, renewing leases and working closely with state regulators to help shape industry guidelines.
The company remains committed to responsibly advancing its helium and hydrogen initiatives, while building strategic partnerships and driving technological innovation.
