Deepak Fertilisers’ Brownfield Expansion of IPA plant on the Verge of Completion

Deepak Fertilizer and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL), one of the leading fertilizer manufacturers and the only manufacturer of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) in the country, had received green signal from the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority for the expansion of its brownfield project of IPA manufacturing plant situated in Taloja, Maharashtra in 2017. Prior to the expansion the company had a reported production volume of 70200 MT per annum and expansion has added another 30000 MT to the production output, taking the existing IPA capacity of the company to 100,000 MT per annum. Being the only manufacturer, Deepak enjoyed over 85 per cent market share in the country in FY 2019. “The IPA brownfield expansion project is on the verge of completion and the company would start its commercial production by last week of March”, said one of the senior company officials.
