Avient Corporation announced the expansion of its Nymax REC Recycled Nylon Formulations production to Istanbul, Turkey on January 9. This will significantly increase accessibility to these high-performing, environmentally friendly materials for customers across the Middle East.

The Istanbul facility will produce PA6-based Nymax REC formulations, offering customers a range of options with recycled content percentages between 20% and 100%. Importantly, these formulations adhere to the strict regulations set forth by the European Union's Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) program.

Nymax REC formulations are a game-changer for manufacturers for reducing their environmental footprint without sacrificing performance. It is created using up to 100% recycled content, primarily derived from sources like nylon carpets. This not only diverts valuable materials from landfills, but also boasts a lower Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) compared to virgin nylon equivalents. Avient provides certified PCF values for all its products, further empowering customers to make informed sustainability choices.
