Hindustan Zinc Limited, India’s largest and the world’s second-largest integrated Zinc producer, has introduced EcoZen, its new low-carbon 'green' zinc brand. Hindustan Zinc has unveiled Asia’s first low-Carbon 'green' zinc for its international customers. Zinc is primarily used for the galvanization of steel, protecting it from corrosion, making it a vital mineral for modern life. EcoZen underscores Hindustan Zinc’s dedication to decarbonizing its operations and providing customers with a significant competitive edge, enabling them to offer more sustainable options. This new product will contribute to an estimated 400 kg reduction in carbon emissions across the value chain for every tonne of steel galvanized with Hindustan Zinc’s EcoZen.
