For a long time, prices in the global market have been rising due to rising upstream values such as Natural Gas and Coal. During the Kharif season, Indian farmers and downstream end users are wary of the country's fertiliser prices.
Ammonium Carbonate prices have been steadily growing for a long time due to rising gas prices, increased demand from the United States, supply worries, and market disruptions in the United States. prices are soaring on the back of due persistent increased demand in the agriculture sector coupled with shortage of supplies.
Due to rising gas costs, growing demand, supply concerns, and market disruptions, ammonium carbonate prices have been continuously rising in the United States for a long time. Despite the increased demand, downstream agricultural businesses are concerned about a lack of fertiliser supplies, since total inventory levels in all important sectors are significantly below historic levels
As a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, prices for a variety of commodities are rising, putting pressure on fertiliser costs. Producers also cited the difficulty they had in obtaining raw materials as well as the higher cost of freight. South Korean logistics businesses are facing the burden of China's export restrictions, which have driven up Ammonium Carbonate costs throughout the area.
