Alkane Resources Limited have announced the outcomes of its exploratory drilling campaign at the Rockley Project, situated in Central New South Wales. The Rockley Project, consisting of three licences—EL8174, EL8527, and EL9107—is situated in the Central West of New South Wales, along the eastern margin of the Hill End Trough. The region is regarded as highly prospective for various mineralisation types, including volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS), gold-rich deformed VMS akin to the McPhillamys deposit, and porphyry gold-copper deposits with associated skarn formations. This geological setting presents significant potential for discovering and developing valuable mineral resources.

Seven scout slimline RC drill holes were recently completed to target multi-element and multi-point soil and rock chip geochemical anomalies and historical workings. Six of these seven drill holes successfully intersected Cu-Zn-Pb-Ag skarn mineralisation, with several yielding significant assay results. This drilling effort has provided valuable insights into the extent and concentration of mineralisation, highlighting the potential for further exploration and development in the area.

Mapping and rock chip sampling have revealed significant grades of copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), and lead (Pb) mineralisation at several sites, including Apsley, Belmore East, Red Hill, and the newly discovered Stewarts Prospect. These findings underscore the mineral potential across these areas and enhance the project's prospects for further exploration and development.

The Rockley Project, situated 35 kilometers south of Bathurst in the Central West of NSW, encompasses three exploration licences within the Late Silurian Mumbil Group, an area recognized for its potential for base metal and gold mineralisation, including volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) and skarn-type deposits. Over several years of greenfield exploration, several prospects have been identified within EL8527 (“Apsley”). This exploration involved an airborne electromagnetic survey (AEM), which was followed by ground-based fixed loop electromagnetic (EM) surveys targeting two of the identified prospects. Soil geochemistry and rock chip sampling across a >1 km² magnetic feature have confirmed extensive calc-silicate alteration and skarn mineralisation with copper, zinc, lead, and silver.

Targeted generative exploration is scheduled for the next 12 months, encompassing detailed mapping, rock chip sampling, and soil sampling. In addition, further scout drilling is planned for the Stewarts, Red Hill, and Cow Flat South prospects. The exploration will also include testing the ground electromagnetic (EM) plates identified at Belmore East and Red Hill South. These activities aim to enhance the understanding of mineralisation and identify new opportunities for resource development.

Alkane Resources is committed to establishing itself as a leading Australian multi-mine gold and copper producer. The company's current gold production is centered around the Tomingley Gold Operations in Central West New South Wales. With a proven operational history since 2014 and a robust resource base extending beyond 2030, Tomingley serves as a cornerstone for Alkane's growth strategy.
