Aliaxis Acquires CPVC Pipe and Fittings Segment from Johnson Controls

Aliaxis SA, a global leader in fluid management solutions for water and energy, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire the manufacturing assets of Johnson Controls' CPVC pipe and fittings business, which specializes in residential and light commercial sprinkler systems. This move is a key part of Aliaxis’ strategy to expand its North American footprint and enhance its product portfolio. The acquisition, which will integrate into Aliaxis’ leading regional brand, IPEX, strengthens the company's offerings in fire suppression systems for residential and light commercial uses.

The Johnson Controls business, established in 1985 and located in Huntsville, Alabama, generates around $100 million in annual revenue and employs over 100 staff. This acquisition marks a significant expansion of Aliaxis' presence in the Southern United States. Thierry Vanlancker, Managing Director of Aliaxis, emphasized the strategic value of this acquisition, noting it enhances their ability to offer comprehensive solutions across the U.S. and unlocks additional potential for growth.

Alex Mestres, Divisional CEO Americas at Aliaxis, expressed enthusiasm about welcoming the CPVC pipe and fittings team from Johnson Controls, highlighting the opportunity to broaden their product range and solidify their position as a preferred partner for national customers. The deal is contingent upon customary closing conditions and is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
