ACG, a comprehensive provider of oral dosage solutions, is preparing to enhance its presence in Europe through substantial improvements to its operations in Croatia. This expansion will involve increasing production capacity at the ACG Capsules facility located in Croatia, as well as establishing new warehousing and slitting facilities under the ACG Packaging Materials division. These upgrades are aimed at strengthening ACG’s overall capabilities in the region, allowing the company to better meet the rising demand for its products.
This strategic initiative significantly bolsters ACG's presence in Europe, improving its capacity to satisfy increasing customer demand while optimizing supply chains throughout the region. Since acquiring the Lukaps capsule shell manufacturing plant in Croatia in 2007, ACG has invested over 50 million euros into enhancing infrastructure, technology, and processes, elevating the site to world-class standards. The latest phase of this expansion is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, and the production capacity has already increased by more than 80% in just the past year. These enhancements position ACG to better serve its clients and adapt to the evolving needs of the market.
Selwyn Noronha, CEO of ACG Capsules, emphasized, "The expansion of our Croatian facility signifies a key moment in our strategic growth within Europe. By enhancing our production and logistics capabilities, we are not only able to improve lead times for our customers but also contribute to the local economy by creating new job opportunities. This facility is designed to meet the highest global manufacturing standards, and we are committed to replicating our sustainability initiatives in this location. Our goal is to ensure that our operations provide benefits not only to the environment but also to the communities we serve, aligning our growth with responsible and sustainable practices."
SR Shivshankar, CEO of ACG Packaging Materials, expressed, "The inauguration of our new warehouse in Croatia marks a significant step forward in enhancing our operational agility and improving our ability to serve our European clientele. By establishing this facility, we are poised to reduce lead times and increase flexibility, which will allow us to respond more swiftly and efficiently to changing market demands. This new warehouse will play a crucial role in streamlining our supply chain and ensuring that we can meet the diverse needs of our customers. We are excited about the prospects of this facility and anticipate it being fully operational by November 2024, which will greatly strengthen our capacity to deliver outstanding service and support to our clients throughout the region."
